The Sustainable Development Goals also referred to as the Agenda 2030 or the Global Goals, set 17 ambitious goals, and their targets. These ambitious goals cover social protection of many aspects including education, health, decent work, clean energy, job opportunities and economic infrastructure and environmental protection: climate action, life underwater, and life on land.
Our initiatives aim to magnify the importance of partnership among actors in the Goals. We believe that while policymakers play a vital role to achieve the agenda, businesses are a critical enabler of the SDGs. Companies that build SDGs into the core of their corporate strategies now will have an edge on competitors. Mindful companies can create collaborations, jobs, and innovations, and open markets. Their contribution is significant, with foreign direct investment now out-stripping official aid in many developing countries.
We are set to initiate projects which encourage business to have a positive economic, social and environmental impact. Working with and through their supply chains and investing in the communities in which they operate and on which they impact, while improving their sustainability, businesses deliver significant contributions to the Goals.
Social Development Partners CIC is fortunate enough to work in an industry which will directly influence this destiny. We want to become a catalyst for a productive partnership toward the goals.
