COMMUNITY HOUSING PROJECTS
[Successful project in Kaputei Kenya 2012 using sustainable technologies]
In Kenya East Africa there is currently a housing deficit of more than 2 million units annually with an increasing population and economy growth of 5% per annum. There are also high levels of youth unemployment and a significant need to create affordable houses for the communities.
One unique advantage of us is that we can not only get involved in providing building materials and construction equipment but also train the local community how to build houses of good quality using low to semi-skilled labour making such projects sustainable by working with locally available materials and creating skilled jobs.
Currently, in Kenya Social Development Partners CIC are working on a project to raise finance to enable the building of affordable housing for slum dwellers on the outskirts of Nairobi.

We want to raise funds to build 835 houses that the community can build themselves using our eco-friendly and sustainable technologies.
