Sections 152 and 153 already tell Cape Town what it must do.
We don't believe in promises. We believe in plans. Section 152 sets out what local government must achieve. Section 153 sets out how it must plan and budget to get there. We are asking you to hold the City to an obligation that neither we nor they can rewrite.

Once voters approve it, SDP councillors elected on 4 November take the draft to the IDP office and demand its inclusion in the City's five year master plan.

The SDP has submitted a costed plan to cut what Cape Town households pay for power, built to go into the City's 2027-2032 IDP. It sets out practical steps on tariffs, generation and access that the City can act on now, not a promise for some future term.
